Welcome!

My name is Olivia and although my beginnings with sewing started in childhood, the idea of learning how to sew well appeared much later.
I always had an interest in creative work and after trying different things in this field, I found my place in sewing. I love to learn new things, to read books and articles (and make notes!) about something I'm interested in. Because of that I collected quite a lot of sewing knowledge and after few years of practice and familiarizing with theory, I thought about sharing it with others.
One of the biggest encouragements to do that was something I read in book "Sew any patch pocket" by great couture expert and sewing educator Claire B. Shaeffer:

What you can expect?

Therefore I create content of various kind- videos, articles, tutorials about:
hand and machine sewing techniques,
constructing and modeling your own patterns,
construction and properties of fabrics,
methods of caring for clothes and other textile items,
tips on how to organize and plan your sewing,
inspiration and exchange of ideas with other people interested in sewing.
